In this section you may provide an overview or rationale for the task. State what learning is expected to result from participating in the webQuest.
Outline the specific task required in completing the webQuest - also state what assessment activities will be undertaken - will the students need to create a presentation or performance of some sort. In a Drama context this can quite easily be framed as a role-play. The use of role in learning is always valuable. Students should be cast as someone having to complete a real-life activity. The notion of a Quest should be maintained and there should be some importance to the undertaking.
Process
Evaluation/Assessment
Describe how the learning will be evaluated. Create a rubric or assessment framework. The table below is intentionally general as this page is likely to be used by teachers from across the globe.

In this section you should provide the links to the resources you want students to access. If you understand the use of frames they can be very useful in keeping the student aware of both your quest and the resources. At the very least you should create links that open in a new window. There are a couple of ways of doing this. The simplest is to add TARGET="_blank" to the A HREF tag, eg. <A HREF="http://members.iinet.net.au/~kimbo2" target="_blank">CLICK HERE</A>. It is also possible to name a window specifically so that all the material opens in the one new window. eg. <A HREF="http://members.iinet.net.au/~kimbo2" target="_window-name">CLICK HERE</A>
If you are really accomplished you can even determine the size and position of a new window.

Conclusion
Summarize the learning that should have occurred. Identify some key points - restate major concepts and ideas if necessary. Link to previous and continuing material. Use framing and extension questions to help students expand their thinking in relation to their leaning. The material here should assist in building connections with other topics in your learning area but also with other learning areas... how does it relate to Maths, Science, Social Studies, etc... yes, you will need to find out what your colleagues are doing with the kids you teach.. heaven forbid we might encourage integration and cross-curricula learning!
